The Most Popular Movie Set In Your State

by Hannah Berner

The Academy Awards are around the corner and movie watchers all over America are debating on who will take home the prestigious Oscar (cough cough Leo?)

The Oscars have been around for 88 years to celebrate all the greatest actors and films each year that inspired us, scared us, made us laugh, or made us cry.

Over the years, everyone has watched a great movie that reminds them of the place they call home home.

A Reddit user created a map of America's favorite movies based on which state they are set in. He used IMBD ratings to determine the popularity of each movie. There are the obvious picks, such as "Gone With the Wind" for Georgia and "The Godfather" for New York, but some other movies are a surprise.

Check out the most popular movie that is set in your home state!
