4. The Brave Collection
When Jessica Hendricks studied abroad in Cambodia, she witnessed a country in the wake of genocide and learned about the realities of human trafficking. She channeled her creativity, love of jewelry, and philanthropic spirit to create The Brave Collection.
Each piece of jewelry in the collection is carved and woven by hand in Cambodia using traditional metalwork techniques with brass, silver and gold vermeil materials. The bracelets say “Brave” (Klaa-han) in Khmer, the native language of Cambodia.
She provides job opportunities to women who come from underprivileged backgrounds or suffer from disabilities and pays them above average wages, benefits such as health insurance, and stipends for their children's education. Additionally, 10% of our profits are donated to fight human trafficking in Cambodia.
