Walking around New York City is something that never seems to get old.

One of my favorite things to do is hop on the subway with no clear idea about where I’m getting off. And that’s exactly what I did over the weekend.

I got off at the West 4th Street stop which basically puts you out in the SoHo / West Village area. These two areas are historic and full of people watching and great fashion.

California Governor Jerry Brown recently signed a bill banning single use plastic bags in California.

“This bill is a step in the right direction — it reduces the torrent of plastic polluting our beaches, parks and even the vast ocean itself,” said the Governor in a statement on his website.

A number of other cities have adopted this sort of measure and it’s speculated that more and more will join in to help reduce plastic pollution.

No matter if you live in the place you call home or not, we all get the same feeling when we’ve been away from home for a while.

Think about the last time you were heading back home. Remember the excitement you felt? Remember how you looked forward to something comfortable?

When I saw the photo below these are the exact feelings that came to mind.

“OMG!”

That was the first line of a text message my wife sent me yesterday.

The next line was, “Mike just sent me this photo he took while watching TV. It’s Howie Mandel!”

She then included the photo below.

One of my hobbies is shooting street style photography around New York City.

It’s something I’ve done for a while now and really enjoy. It allows me to explore the city and get lost in all the craziness for a bit.

Recently, while walking up 7th Avenue back towards The Home T office I caught a quick glimpse of a guy skateboarding down the street. This wasn’t just any guy though. He was extremely stylish and seemed to own the road.
