At the Home T, we’re pretty spoiled because we get to wear a t-shirt to work everyday. Turns out, many employees in tech companies, creative fields and start-ups prefer wearing more casual get-ups to work as well, such as jeans, sneakers and graphic t-shirts. Nothing against corporate fashion, but 9-5 attire looks like it’s changing. Ties are out, t-shirts are in!

So if you are looking for a reprieve from the tyranny of suits, while still demanding respect in the board room, get creative with your outfit! It’s about that time to put away your summer sundresses and bring out the high waisted skirts for Fall! Made popular in the 1980’s, this style is back and here to stay.

Whether you prefer pleated, A-line, or vintage, this sophisticated style is great to wear for work or the weekend. This retro look is flattering for many figures because it cinches your waist and elongates your legs.

So what are you supposed to wear with your high waisted skirt? Many wear crop tops, camisoles, or blouses, but these ladies below are rocking t-shirts! A casual graphic t-shirt is a great way to complement a dressier skirt for the perfect day time look.

 Let’s take a look at the last couple of days at the Home T office. It’s New York Fashion Week, so the city has been buzzing.

The summer is officially over (which makes us sad) but that means that we restocked all our hoodies (which makes us happy).

Get your sweet tooth ready. Sure, cake is great, but there is nothing like a good slice of pie.

We did our research on state traditions, foods, and fruits to ultimately pick a different pie to represent each state in America.

Pies are defined as a baked dish made of a pastry dough casing that covers or completely contains a filling of ingredients. The pilgrims were actually the first to bring their pie recipes to America. We thank them for all the sweet calories.
